about the book? Check out the synopsis!
When the cards tell Ophelia Leoni she's supposed to marry the Prince of Hansarda, the gunrunner grits her teeth and boards the starship that comes for her. It doesn't matter if the ship's commander is the gorgeous stranger she just spent a wild, drunken night with. As a Diviner, she’s painfully aware the cards don't lie. Ever. Boone O’Keirna knows Ophelia is trouble the second he sees the way she moves. Not about to let the deadly little hellcat marry his sadistic half-brother, Boone pretends to be the Prince’s emissary and kidnaps Ophelia. Too bad they can’t be in the same room without him wanting to throw her out an airlock–or into bed. Even as they fight each other–and their explosive attraction–Ophelia and Boone sense something is wrong. Too much is going their way. Soon, they realize while the cards may never lie, the truth is sometimes hidden between them...and the future king of Hansarda is not one to take defeat lying down.
Now on to the Interview! Welcome Katee and Boone!
Katee: Here with us today, we have Boone
O’Keirna, one of the heirs to the throne of the planet Hansarda. How are you
doing, Boone?
Boone: Fine.
Katee: Wow, you’re quite the chatty one.
What can you tell us about yourself?
Boone: *grumbles* the
things I do for family.
There’s not a
whole lot to say. I’m exiled—I haven’t set foot on Hansarda in ten years. I
don’t really see why this promotional stuff is necessary.
Katee: Your sister, Jenny, seems to think
it’s a good idea.
Boone: Yeah, well
Jenny thinks a lot of things are good ideas—which is why I’m constantly saving
her ass. I don’t know why I let her talk me into these things.
Katee: Probably because no one can say no
to her. So tell me about your future plans? Are you going to try to oust your
brother and take the throne for yourself?
Boone: Half-brother.
Katee: Excuse me?
Bone: Kristian is
my half-brother. And, no, I don’t want to be king. It’s a pain in the ass
taking care of my people now—and they only number in the hundreds. Taking care
of an entire planet would be a nightmare.
Katee: I don’t blame you there. Though, I
have to say, your, er, half-brother is pretty dreamy.
Boone: *stares* you
don’t know shit about Kristian. He’s a monster.
Katee: If you say so. Anyway, what about
the ladies? Is there anyone special out there for you?
Boone: Did you
miss everything we just talked about? No, there’s no one. I don’t have time for
a woman. Besides, anyone I cared about, Kristian would find her, and he’d…
Well, you get the idea.
Katee: You seem paranoid about your
brother. What’s with that?
Boone: *stands* I
have stuff to take care of. *walks off*
Katee: Well…okay then. Thanks for your
time! And there you have it, folks—Boone O’Keirna, sexier than sin and a whole
lot of brooding man.
Thanks Katee and
Boone! That was very um… enlightening ;) come back anytime!

Katee Robert learned to
tell stories at her grandpa’s knee. Her favorites then were the rather epic
adventures of The Three Bears, but at age twelve she discovered romance novels
and never looked back. Now living in Eastern Washington, she spends her time—in
between ogling men’s goodies and planning for the inevitable zombie
apocalypse—writing speculative romance novels.
