The sequel—and conclusion—to Sarah Crossan's Breathe. Three teen outlaws must survive on their own in a world without air, exiled outside the glass dome that protects what's left of human civilization. Gripping action, provocative ideas, and shocking revelations in a dystopian novel that fans of Patrick Ness and Veronica Roth will devour.
Bea, Alina, and Quinn are on the run. They started a rebellion and were thrown out of the pod, the only place where there's enough oxygen to breathe. Bea has lost her family. Alina has lost her home. And Quinn has lost his privileged life. Can they survive in the perilous Outlands? Can they finish the revolution they began? Especially when a young operative from the pod's Special Forces is sent after them. Their only chance is to stand together, even when terrible circumstances force them apart. When the future of human society is in danger, these four teens must decide where their allegiances lie. Sarah Crossan has created a dangerous, and shattered society in this wrenching, thought-provoking, and unforgettable post-apocalyptic novel.

BREATHE and RESIST fantasy
cast list by Sarah Crossan
I
always think of BREATHE as a book, but if the series were ever to be made into
a film, here are my suggestions for possible actors.
·
Alina – Saoirse Ronan -the actor who played
Alina would need to be able to do some stunts, and I know Ronan is great in
action movies. The actress would also need to be able to portray quiet
vulnerability. Also, Saoirse Ronan is Irish. We have to give at least one role
to the Irish!
· Bea – Hailee Steinfeld – Bea has integrity and quiet courage. I think Steinfeld has shown she can portray both of these things. Also, Steinfeld has the right complexion!
· Quinn – Harry Styles – ok, ok, I know he isn’t an actor, but his face fits. I think he’d brilliantly show the complexity of being someone outrageously good looking but a bit clueless!
· Ronan – Liam Hemsworth – is he too old for the role? Probably, but he looks like he’d be in the Special Forces and might crush you with one hand. Plus, he’s pretty!
· Silas – Aaron Johnson – another actor that might be too old, but when I wrote Silas I always had Johnson’s face in my mind. He’s an actor who plays troubled very well, which I feel Silas is.
· Maude Blue – Maggie Smith – Do you watch Downton Abbey? If you do, you’ll know why Smith is perfect for the role: sharp, witty lines timed to perfection.
· Bruce – Timothy Spall – nothing says harmless drifter like Spall. I saw him in a restaurant while I was editing RESIST and I thought – “It’s you, Bruce, it’s you!”
· Pod Minister – David Morrissey – I have loved David Morrissey ever since his days staring in UK TV dramas. He always plays a baddie perfectly, most recently in The Walking Dead.
· Jude Caffrey – James McAvoy – Jude is a complicated character who never quite knows which side he’s on. McAvoy has played a huge variety of complicated roles including Macbeth, so he’d be perfect. Also, if he were to act in the film, I’d get to meet him, right?
Great
cast right? I’m drooling over McAvoy right now lol!
