I am Lahettaa but my friends (well not friends since I don't have those) rather cohorts call me Hettaa. I am a norse witch or völva as we are called in our native tongue. I have many powers but my main and most important power in my opinion is teleportation. I am not old in looks as are most völva but I am ancient. I am a direct descendant from Freyja the goddess of war, death, love, beauty, and some other unimportant stuff.
Believe it or not I used to be good, well good for the vikings bad for everyone else. I was a warrior witch and I would teleport to the lands that we plundered ahead of time and teleport back to tell my brothers and sisters what to expect when they landed. Yeah Ragnar Lothbrok had my help many times.
I had a great life! I was to be married to a powerful viking warlord but another woman caught his eye and he married her instead. I was the winner in the end. I spelled him so he was infertile and couldn't carry on his bloodline and the woman he married? I took my vengeance another way... Trust me you don't want to know what I did to her it would make you cringe. My brothers and sisters turned on me after that and tried to murder me.
I fled and lived on my own for a long time not wanting to deal with people. I found a small house in a new land and killed anyone who crossed my path. But I got bored living in the same place so I started randomly teleporrting to different lands. I met Fiammata first in Italy (although she's a bit humble and says she didn't help form this group she did) her fire wielding power was horrifying and amazing at the same time and I knew we should work together. We founded the group that is now known as the Nefarious Nine, trust me you do not want to run into any of us in a dark alley or alone on a country road. We like to play and toy with our victims before we kill them. If you are bad we may keep you around to be one of our many lackeys. If you're good beware because we are coming for you. Do you have what it takes to defeat us? I think not.
From New York Times bestselling author Marie Lu comes the second book in the exhilarating Young Elites series
Once upon a time, a girl had a father, a prince, a society of friends. Then they betrayed her, and she destroyed them all.
Adelina Amouteru’s heart has suffered at the hands of both family and friends, turning her down the bitter path of revenge. Now known and feared as the White Wolf, she and her sister flee Kenettra to find other Young Elites in the hopes of building her own army of allies. Her goal: to strike down the Inquisition Axis, the white-cloaked soldiers that murdered her love, the Crown Prince Enzo Valenciano.
But Adelina is no heroine. Her powers, fed only by fear and hate, have started to grow beyond her control. She does not trust her newfound Elite friends. Teren Santoro, leader of the Inquisition, wants her dead. And her former friends, Raffaele and the Dagger Society, want to stop her thirst for vengeance. Adelina struggles to cling to the good within her. But how can someone be good, when her very existence depends on darkness?

ReplyDeleteSuper Villain or Super Hero? Tough choice but I would have to say Super Hero. Super Villain power? Mind control!
ReplyDeleteI would probably like to have the ability to convince a crowd or person of something. Not necessarily mind control but more like charmspeak, if you've read the Heroes of Olympus books. My words would be so powerful that the crowd would believe it without question.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for doing these giveaways! I think that's really cool! x
Squad on fleek! I hate that slang (on fleek) but that was the first thing I thought of when I saw this :D I chose transmutation as my superpower! My villain is "The Blacksmith". She's pretty kickbutt. ;) Lovely post, Jaime! Thank you and all of these wonderful bloggers for all the giveaways - you bet I'm entering! :)
ReplyDeleteAlyssa @ The Eater of Books!
I would love to be able to control the elements. So basically, I'd become the next Avatar XD Thank you for all the wonderful giveaways!!!
ReplyDeleteMy super villan power would be mind control. Who wouldn't love to make those you have had problems with now do what you want. Ultimate payback!!!
ReplyDeleteInvisibility would be pretty cool!
ReplyDeleteReading peoples minds would be cool!
ReplyDeleteDefinitley super hero's
ReplyDeleteVillain's! They're much more interesting! Esp how they came to be!
ReplyDeleteMary G Loki
I feel like my super villain power would be making other people scared or anxious.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have a power that heals and destroys! I think it would be a cool 2 in 1 power to have! Thank you for this amazing chance! :)
ReplyDelete(Alisha Sienkiel in rafflecopter)
ReplyDeleteI would like to have the power of Invisibility! :)
My favorite character of all time is Barbara Gordon, so I think Superhero. I also like Catwoman, and she is more of an in between, more of an anti-hero than a villain really.
