The Fair Folk are the stuff of myth. Stories of monsters and old magicks. But all myths carry a grain of truth. That truth is that remnants of this ancient power live on in the blood of their descendants.
When Tannin’s grandfather dies, he leaves her with a mountain of trouble. Between cryptic journals that warn of unknown foes lying in wait and a crippling debt owed to a cruel and formidable local Laird, Tannin is thrown into a cut-throat world where she is perilously out of her depth.
But her problems have only just begun. Secrets lurk in Tannin’s bloodstream – secrets not even she is aware of. And they want out.
A scheming princess with the offer of an alliance. A secret society with murderous intentions. A dark past that refuses to stay buried. Tannin’s life will never be the same.

I’m going entirely off vibe and character personality and not so much aesthetics for this list so don’t take it at face (HA) value. Also I would insist on queer actors playing my queer characters so again take this list with a large pinch of salt. I’ve tried to pick actors who’ve worked in the same genre as Remnants of Blood too so hopefully people can build a good mental picture of how I imagine these characters.
This is not an extremely well thought out list because I don’t let myself get to excited about adaptations etc because it’s still very early days for the Remnants series. Baby steps.
Tannin: Alba Baptista in Warrior Nun is peak Tannin vibes and has the “adorable but will fight you” thing going on as well as plenty of sass. Aesthetics aren’t quite right but the attitude is spot on.
Or
Katie McGrath’s Season One Morgana in Merlin. She’s got the right haughty “better than you but trying to do good” attitude that is quite central to Ava’s character.
Flint: You seen the Shannara Chronicles? Yeah Austin Butler when he has the shorter hair is kinda what I picture Flint as. But with way more confidence and mischievous flair
Eve:
Angel Coulby as Gwen in Merlin is kinda the right vibe and aesthetics. Hard worker and loyal butwon’t take any shit.
