His voice was so scratchy that he was almost begging her to
let him know whatever it was that had happened. He needed to know. Samuel was a very desperate man at this moment in
time but he was prepared to do anything to grasp whatever Isra had to relay unto
him.
“That’s just the trouble. No one can help Alan Grimsbane
anymore,” Isra remarked.
The jet-black rose fell to the ground at once as Isra’s smile
switched from sweet and friendly to a most mischievous glare whereby she
remained triumphant, much to Samuel’s perplexity as he couldn’t comprehend her
meaning.
“What do you mean, child? Of course, he can be helped, but my
interest is you and only you,” Samuel pressed.
Isra simply lowered her gaze before turning her back to
Samuel. She looked out onto the beautiful, serene blue oceans of Nefaria Sands.
“I am sure you believe wholly in your stratagem. Alas, I don’t trust you, but
since this is a dream, I know with absolute conviction that this was the scene
whereby you stole a part of my life away from me. Since that time, I have felt
completely beyond your ‘help,’ so don't pity me, old man. Worry about
yourself.”
Isra continued to have her back turned and Samuel’s pleas
went unheard.
Samuel uttered softly, “Please, Isra. Tell me. Tell me,
girl.”
Isra kept her smile firmly affixed as Samuel’s urgent need to
reason with her dissipated from her mind. Slowly, the image of Isra began to
fade until Samuel’s words were not even audible and blackness descended upon
the two of them, obliterating everything into nothingness.

I'm not very good at talking about myself in the third person. Isra is an eccentric author whose heart resides with the dark fantasy but also the paranormal genres.
