A day in your writing life.
I wake up around 6:00 a.m. and read and write in my journal
for an hour or so. Then around eight a.m. I will go down to my small office in
the basement of my house and write. I tell myself that I will be at my desk for
an hour regardless of whether the words and images come easily or not.
Sometimes the words come rushing out and I’m there for a couple of hours. Sometimes only a few paragraphs. It doesn’t
matter – I have faith that the work will be done as long as I keep showing up.
