Fate can be cruel.
A standalone novel. If you've read the Threads of Magic series, this book is a
centuries ahead prequel that also stands alone.
Alexius has been ignored for centuries. He’s quietly taken the blame for his
sister’s death and simply tries to get by unnoticed, until his heart won’t let
him ignore his mate. Will she bring him closer to his family or pull him away?
Aexie is trying to figure out why she’s turned into a raging, angry dragon that
can’t express what she wants to while not letting her anxiety control her.
Jaxon fights to decide how best to keep the family together or if he should
just give up and travel the world.
Xerus is learning to navigate the ancient love of his life and run the kingdom
he’s been brought up to rule.
As siblings grow up, their duties to themselves clash with their
responsibilities to their family and realm. Mysterious attacks force them to
put the kingdom first and work together. They need to figure out who the
culprit is before their entire realm falls.
Will they come together or will they abandon their duties and watch their
kingdom fall to evil?
Top 5
favorite Video Games.
I’ll admit
I’m not much of a gamer. When the dog started to laugh at me for not being able
to shoot the ducks, I was highly discouraged. When the tiny 8-bit Mario kept
leaping into the lava on that very dark blue screen, I gave up completely.
Being married to a gamer now, I have started to dip my toes back into it, but
please be gentle with me because I’m a noob.
Plants versus Zombies: this was the first game I ever
beat. Like ever. I didn’t know beating a game was a thing until I reached the
end of this and watched the little video. No wonder people can game for hours
on end!
Kingdom Rush: This was the second game I’ve ever beat. I loved the
strategy of this one and while I’m still working on the hardest level, I LOVE
seeing how my gameplan plays out and trying to figure out the best way to use
my resources to survive.
Elder Scrolls: While I’ve never played Elder Scrolls,
I’ve watched my husband play and it’s one of my favorites to watch him play
because it’s just so beautiful. I would love to have some of those landscapes
as artwork in my house!
Jaime here.
I love ESO so I wanted to share a little video clip of the world.
Tetris: I have been known as the Tetris queen. While I love the
game, I’m especially good at life Tetris – how to get all the leftovers from
Thanksgiving in the fridge? How to fit all those souvenirs in your luggage? How
to stack all those books into the shelf? Totally your girlie.
Tsum Tsum: Okay, remember when I asked for you to be gentle with me? I
realize I’m probably only one of five people left who still have this on their
phone, but I find the game a cute little way to relax. I don’t think I fully
understand how to win at this game, but having a limit of five plays is a
perfect break. Also, Tsum Tsums are so cute!
